Just Sit Jacksonville is community-based group that supports the practice of Insight Meditation. We study Buddhist teachings and meditation techniques based in the Theravada tradition. Meditating with a group provides a supportive environment, encouraging practice for  new and experienced meditators. 

We do not have a teacher, but learn from our own experience, each other and the writings of Buddhist teachers around the world. We meet weekly to read Buddhist teachings and discuss our own understanding of the text. We hope you will join us to meditate and study Insight Meditation. Metta.

Our Story

Monday and Thursday Mornings 6:45 am – 7:30 am  
45 minute silent meditation.
Tuesday Evenings - 7:30 pm – 9:00 pm
30 minute silent meditation followed by a reading and discussion.
 Every Third Tuesday Evening - 7:30 pm – 9:00 pm
30 minute guided meditation followed by a reading and discussion.
